We started our meeting together with the Brownie troop by reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, the Girl Scout Promise and the Girl Scout Law.

We discussed our first field trip that is planned on Oct. 17^th right after school to Cold Stone Creamery. The cost is $4 per girl and participating adult.

After breaking into the different age groups, the Daisy girls completed two different worksheets about themselves. The first worksheet was about their name, birth date, and some of their favorite things. The second worksheet was a drawing of themselves. We also discussed the things that were the same and also their differences. We will finish the activities at the next meeting. They also discussed more about learning the Girl Scout Promise and earning their petals. Please have your daughters bring their Daisy necklaces, that includes a copy of the Girl Scout Promise and the Girl Scout Law, to every meeting.

The girls will finish decorating their Daisy necklaces and learning the Promise at the next meeting.

We are also collecting for our first service project for local animal shelters. A list of supplies needed was sent home. We will be collecting items until Oct. 24^th. Each girl collecting/donating will be receiving a participation patch.

We completed our meeting by doing the Friendship Squeeze.

The next meeting will be on Wednesday, October 24^th right after school until 4:30pm.

We will be having a small ceremony at our next meeting. Parents are welcome to attend.

The dues for the meeting will be $1 per meeting. The girls cannot bring their dues until they become Brownie Girl Scouts, so we are asking that the parents pay for the entire year for a total of $16.

I will be going to the council shop soon if anyone would like to place an order for uniforms. Uniforms are not required, but they are recommended. Since the girls are only Daisies for one year, we are suggesting that you buy the minimum. The only items that we suggest is the World Trefoil pin and the insignia tab for a total of $4.05. The girls will be receiving their Daisy membership pins at the Investiture Ceremony. Please remind the girls to wear their Daisy necklaces and pins to every Girl Scout event including meetings.
