We started our meeting together with the Brownie troop by reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, the Girl Scout
Promise and the Girl Scout Law.
After breaking into the different age groups, the Daisies completed activities about the “considerate
and caring” petal and also the “courageous and strong“ petal.
We completed two more activities too. The first activity was Crayon Resist. The girls colored pictures with
crayons and then painted over them with green tempera paint. The crayon was suppose to resist the paint, but I don’t
think it worked quite as well as it was suppose to. It worked with certain colors in certain places.
The girls also participated in group stories with the Brownie troop. Almost all of the girls stood up and
told everyone about a dream that they had or told another story. Some of the stories were funny but most of them were scary.
We will also try to catch up on a few activities that were missed by a few girls at the beginning of the new
year. They will also discuss more about learning the Girl Scout Promise and earning their petals.
We will be planning a couple of field trips within the next few months and will send the information home
soon. If you have any suggestions, please let us know.
We completed our meeting by doing the Friendship Squeeze.
