Important Information Well, it is the beginning of another school year. Hopefully everyone is already in their routine. We will again be asking to give the girls the responsibility of bringing their dues to each meeting in their dues holder
necklaces that they have made. The dues are $1 per meeting. Please also remind the girls to wear their Brownie
sashes, uniforms, and/or pins to all Brownie activities, including meetings. We also have a list of the meetings for the school. Please sign this along with your daughter’s name to let the
school know that your daughters can stay after school for each meeting. We will also be starting our first service project of the year. We will be collecting for local animal shelters.
A list of supplies needed will be sent home at the next meeting. We have included all important information on our troop website. |

Current Activities We starting our meeting by reciting the Girl Scout law, the Girl Scout Promise and the Pledge of Allegiance. We also discussed the changes in the meetings. We currently have 11 Brownie girls plus we just added 5 Daisy girls. We
will be meeting at the same time and place and have the opportunity to do some activities together. After breaking into the different age groups, the Brownies made new dues holder necklaces if they didn’t have one
already or if they wanted to make a new one. They also decorated the Kaper Chart craft stick to use at future meetings. After the girls were done, they used some of their extra energy and played outside for about 10-15 minutes. The girls also volunteered for the snack list. There is enough girls in both troops (a total of 16) to bring one drink
and one snack for the entire year!!! |

Coming Up…….. The next meeting will be on Wednesday, September 26th right after school until 4:30pm. The girls will be asked to sign up to help with the Cookie Caravan. We will be at Roger’s on Fri., Oct 5th
from 6-8pm and Sat., Oct 6th from 4-7pm. We will also be at Wenneman’s on Sat., Oct. 6th from
9-noon and at the Village Bank from 9-11:30am. Please look over these dates and have an idea of when your daughters could
volunteer to help sell cookies. We will be having a small Investiture and Rededication Ceremony at our regular meeting on Oct. 10th. Any parents
are invited to come. The Brownie girls will also be learning about the activities to Bridge up to Junior Girl Scouts during this year. If anyone has any questions or comments, please call Carol at 768-4603. Thank you, Carol |
